General points base tests evaluates candidates based on certain factors such as age, educational qualifications, work experience, language and family history. Candidates need to score 80 points under this test to qualify for Hong Kong QMAS.
On the other hand, applicants who have specific skills and exceptional talents can apply for achievement-based points test. Requirements under this test are very high and one needs to score 165 points under one scoring factor in achievement based points test.
